Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi N’tichka Pass – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura
Pick up at 07:30 A.M. and drive through the High Atlas mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m), enjoying panoramic views of Berber villages and landscapes. Stop for lunch in Tichka. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a backdrop for over 20 famous movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and The Mummy. Continue to Ouarzazate or Skoura where you will stay in a charming Riad. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Breakfast at 08:30. Drive through the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley with stunning landscapes. Visit Kelaat Mgouna, famous for its annual Rose Festival. Continue to Todra Valley and Gorges, where you will learn about the history, culture, and traditions of the Berber tribes. Lunch at a local restaurant in Todra. Proceed to Merzouga, with scenic stops for photos. Dinner and overnight in hotel/riad in Merzouga.
Day 3: Merzouga – Desert Adventure & Camel Trekking
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning 4×4 excursion across sand dunes to meet nomadic families, drink tea, and discover nomadic traditions. Visit Rissani to see Kasbahs and palaces, and enjoy the famous dish Madfouna (“Berber pizza”). In the afternoon, prepare for camel trekking across Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the sunset in the desert. Arrive at the Sahara desert camp, dinner under the stars, live Berber music with drums around the fire, and overnight in desert tents.
Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Fes
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise in Merzouga, then return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and shower. Depart towards Fes via Rissani and Ziz Valley. Stop in Midelt for lunch, then continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Visit Azrou forest to see Barbary apes, then Ifrane “Morocco’s Switzerland” to view the stone lion. Stop with local nomads for tea to learn about their lifestyle. Continue to Fes. Arrival around 18:00 and transfer to hotel/riad. End of the tour.
